Our Team

Greg Webster

LLB - Partner & part-time sailor

Originally from Matakana, I moved to Auckland after completing an LLB at the University of Otago. I have practised primarily on the North Shore having spent a year working in Auckland City and a year in the United Kingdom.

I am passionate about the law and enjoy working closely with my clients to achieve the best possible outcome for them. I regularly appear in both the Family and High Court on a broad range of family matters including care of children and guardianship matters, relationship property, domestic violence, paternity and child youth and family proceedings. I am on the lawyer for child list and am an assigned legal aid provider.

On a personal note I enjoy participating in all sports, especially those that take place on or in the water.

Dana Holbrook

BA JD – Partner & keen tennis player

I am originally from the United States but have been living in New Zealand since 1995.

I have practiced law in New Zealand since 1997 and specialise in all areas of Family Law. I regularly appear in the Family Court and have appeared in the High Court on various matters.

I am an assigned Legal Aid Provider and am happy to discuss with you whether you might be eligible for Legal Aid. I am also on the Lawyer for Child list and receive appointments from the Ministry of Justice to represent children in Family Court proceedings.

I completed a course named Collaborative Practice held by the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. Collaborative law uses a different approach to resolving disputes without involving litigation; the focus is on the parties being able to reach an agreeable solution to their particular issues. One of the many positive aspects of Collaborative Law is the parties make their own decisions rather than having a Judge make a decision, which either one or both parties disagree with.

Chris McBreen

LLB MBS – Associate & traveller

I have a range of experience in Family and Property Law. I appear frequently in the Family Court on matters such as Care of Children, Relationship Property, Domestic Violence and Care and Protection.

I enjoy working with clients from all kinds of backgrounds and helping them achieve the best possible result.

My practice areas include Family Law, Employment Law, Residential Sale & Purchase of Land, Wills & Estates and Relationship Property Agreements.

Ian Cribbens

BA LLB - Solicitor & swimmer

I joined Webster Holbrook in April 2009 after being admitted to the Bar in early 2009.

I have always wanted to specialise in family law and enjoy the people-focused nature of this unique area of the law. I am a graduate of the University of Auckland Law School where I specialised in Family Law, winning the Davies-Sproule memorial Prize for Advanced Family Law in 2008. I have also completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Political Studies.

Prior to joining Webster Holbrook, I provided research for a Supreme Court of New Zealand Appeal case addressing immigration issues as well as a number of refugee appeals. I attended schooling at Mount Roskill Grammar School before spending a year teaching Physical Education at a boarding School in Reading, England.

I have experience in all areas of family law, including Care of Children and Guardianship matters, Relationship Property, Domestic Violence/Protection Orders, Paternity, and Child Youth and Family proceedings.
